Edward Pirotta: An Exhibition

Edward Pirotta (1939-1968) was a highly regarded Maltese sculptor whose work focused on the human form, capturing profound beauty and emotion. Considered a prodigy, Pirotta's short but impactful career has left a lasting legacy in the world of modern art. For the first time in 59 years, his sculptures are brought together in an exhibition at MUŻA, offering a unique opportunity to explore his artistic achievements. This exhibition not only highlights his exceptional contributions to Maltese art but also serves as a tribute to his memory.

Accompanying the exhibition is a publication written by Prof. Joseph Paul Cassar, which provides further insight into Pirotta's works and creative process. Prof. Cassar is also the curator of the exhibition, ensuring a thorough and thoughtful presentation of Pirotta's masterpieces. The exhibition celebrates Pirotta's legacy and invites viewers to appreciate the timeless beauty and emotion embedded in his sculptures.
